A great eatery for food and prices are cheaper than McDonald's, Burger King and the rest.Additionally the workers are intelligent and are not looking out the window sucking on their teeth as they do at these other establishments. Everything is delicious and you don't fall asleep after 30 minutes as you do at McDonald's. The toilets are clean unlike the one at Burger King 100 yards to the north.

VISITED 3 TIMES EACH VISIT WAS SPECTACULAR... FOOD A-1, DECOR BEAUTIFUL, SERVICE GREAT, PRICED REASONABLY  WELL WORTH THE VISIT, YOU'LL LOVE IT

Here is a small restaurant on rte 9G where the food is superb and the prices are great. I have eaten there 4 times during the past 2 months and each time I have enjoyed the menu. My only comment is the service, somewhat slow . I have noticed there seems to be only one wait-person each time I was there. Perhaps coincidence, or maybe each dish is prepared with care so as not to rush the recipe...but be aware.

Pete's Famous    Rhinebeck Village  Market St... great food, great prices the only comments that have been registered are a somewhat disinterested cashier more prone to personal conversation than  giving you change.

Restaurant X  Congers NY. A fabulous restaurant, well appointed, great service, somewhat high priced but you get your monies worth. The entrees were spectacular and the desserts were unbelievable. I enjoyed the dinner which included many friends except, next to me was a couple dining alone. He was something of a loud windbag and I couldn't help but hear all he had to say. At the end of their meal the waiter handed him the check which I was able to see out of the corner of my left eye...he paused and then said to the waiter, ' if this is such a fancy place.......where the fuck is the cheese platter ?' I wasn't able to see the womans face but I did see her get up and leave the table quickly with her coat and pocket book sort of floating behind her like in a comic strip where there are speed lines coming from the character that was just kicked over a fence.    Jan 21, 2006 

Sunday  Jan 14, 2007    6 PM....   China Rose  Rhinecliff, NY   A nice cozy restaurant on the river which is usually a great destination for a great meal. On this night a few friends and I were unfortunate enough to snag the pissed off waitress who missed the class entitled ' Bedside Manner 101' A dish which has been ordered and enjoyed before by one of our guests came to the table in a different incarnation, almost inedible and soaked in at least 1 inch of water...when this ' detail' was brought to the ' wait persons' attention she regarded it as an annoyance, sucked on her teeth for a moment and explained, ' well, this is how we make it now' ( take it or leave it !!) The guest being a perfect lady made no great deal of it and just pushed it to the side. Never once did the wait person, who incidentally represents her boss the owner say something like....can I replace it with something else ? or I'll take it off the bill or anything of the sort... well we're sorry but sometimes we have to report these incidents to our reading public, and a reading public we have indeed, 266,000 visitors in 2006. Now this would be bad enough but during the week we contacted the restaurant by phone and were told we should have done something at the time..........what ?????   OK then, this is what you get for messing with the paying public
