The Clansman/ An Historical Romance of the Ku Klux Klan 1905 NY Doubleday signed by the author and signed by D.W.Griffith writer and director of Birth of a Nation. His film was based on this book and sent shockwaves through many communities. The response was so great to the film that Griffith had to follow it up with another film called Intolerance which was something of an apology for Birth of a Nation. Griffiths father was a colonel for the Confederacy. This is a rare volume with an accompanying photograph of D.W. Griffith and the author at the bar at NY's Delmonico's. $6000.00
